THE BAD MONKEY

We accept this division
of rain and water
as one would a reptile
alive without sound

Could we possibly
forgo this plow
and quickly
orbit the compass
 
And Sarah  .  is she
returning to her father
her insect lover
devouring this branch

of pale science
without recourse.
